My Fathers turns 81.....

This has always been the hardest card for me to make each year because on the 10th of Dec it's a very special day. As I make My Fathers Birthday card it always brings tears to my eyes... So to craft with tears running down my face it can become very difficult to see the card no.( 1 ) and no.( 2) trying to keep my tears from hitting the card and making it all wet... As age plays a big part of all our lives I am so blessed that my Father will be turning 81.... Happy Birthday Dad...I love you...Your Wendy's Gift Card will reach you soon....My Dad just loves Wendy's and he keeps telling my mother that it's always the best Gift he gets!!!!

Details: The stamps are from Gina K Designs and the papers are just a mix that I gave it a distressed look with marvy inks and some faux stitching and dots with my white gel pen and a pretty silver hinge. I made a extra little bottom to the shirt so the word Dad would really stand out and the hat and shirt are attached with pop dots... I decided to make the Gift card holder and attached to the top of a card so that I could write a sweet little note to my dad inside...

Card Crazy Chicks Challenge...

Challenge #2 for my blogging group, Card Crazy Chicks, is Lauren's vintage challenge. Vintage is not easy at all if you were to ask me but I gave it my best shot. I picked a very simple image from memory box called pine branch . I added so much ink to the background to make it look as vintage as I could that I even forgot all the inks I sponged on... Oh well... I added some red gel dots for berries to the image along with my favorite white gel pen... A friend of mine gave me some wonderful mother of pearl pieces hand cut by her father when he worked for a jeweler...So what more could be more vintage then Mother Of Pearl .....

It's a black and white day!!!

Ok... the big leaf is from stampland stamps and the butterfly is from penny black. I used glossy card stock and leaf image inked with noir black palette ink, stamping all around the outside, overlaying image is fine it seems to add extra dimension... Butterfly inked the same way with making extra wing that I cut out and attached with pop dot...

Have A Great day
I'm so happy you stopped by......Thanks Bunches
